This month it is our goal to shine a light on the true source of most allergies and chronic illnesses and offer tips to improve your health today. See Dr. Valerie's article (below)... 4 Ways to Beat Allergies for Life! Thank you to our wonderful patients and your feedback. It makes our "job" a joy... and not so much of a "job." We love to share your wonderful stories and accomplishments. Please keep them coming! This month, we'd like to share Nicole's story! Go Girl!

Dear Balance In Motion Team,
Since you opened up your doors, I have been an ongoing patient. Between low back, pregnancy issues, poor posture, numb leg, sciatica pain, rotated pelvis, low iron and tight hamstrings... I am a lifelong Balance In Motion-er! Everytime I have had a different illness or injury, the team has jumped in to cure me and get me out of pain. Everyone is always interested in my well-being and keeping me motivated to come in and better my health. The best was coming in weekly while pregnant and huge. Every week my belly and baby Vincent would get bigger and stronger and so would I! It was an amazing journey and I could not have gotten through it without your help. He is two and a half now and he loves coming in with me to keep ourselves aligned and keep our bodies healthy! My newest favorite is the miracle K-Laser. My leg, which was 60% numb is now SO much better. That truly is a wonderful feeling... literally. Please keep up the great work... lots of us are counting on you.

Hugs, Nicole and Vincent Hensley

Thank you Nicole, now let's continue educating, empowering and serving. TEAMWORK is amazing! I truly hope that you and your families have a blessed Easter holiday. See you soon, Dr. Chrissy Stamm-Christian

Top 4 ways to beat allergies for life

by Dr. Valerie Barsom

Here are 4 ways to beat your allergies for life

  1. Correct your 'allergy posture'
Your brain communicates with every cell in your body through your nervous system. The information gets sent down into your neck and then the rest of your body. If you have a misalignment in your neck that is blocking life and energy into the rest of your body, the communication is stopped. With regular chiropractic care, we will open these blockages and allow your nervous and immune system to function at their optimum level.
  2. Eat allergy-fighting foods
Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids help fight inflammation, and thus alleviate your symptoms tremendously. These good fats can be found in cold-water fish, walnuts, and flaxseed oil. Garlic, onions, ginger, turmeric, and citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges also contain natural anti-histamines. Be careful, because some fish oil supplements contain mercury which could poison your body. Call us today and we will recommend which fish oil supplements are the safest.
  3. Aqua therapy
This natural allergy remedy simply involves drinking lots of water to help flush out mucus. Hot liquids, such as mint and green teas, can help rid you of your congestion. These teas also contain plenty of anti-oxidants, which will aid in keeping you looking younger as another positive 'side-effect'. Stay away from black tea, coffee, milk, soda, alcohol and anything with caffeine, preservatives and additives.
  4. Beneficial Bugs
Probiotics are the natural and beneficial bacteria in your gut that contribute to your overall health. Disturbed flora can deplete your gut of the normal flow of good bacteria. Probiotics can replenish your source of good bacteria in your digestive tract, and stimulate your immune system preventing you from developing allergies and having to treat them. What do you think?
