The pain of fibromyalgia can vary from muscular aches to shooting, stabbing pains, sometimes accompanied by throbbing, twitching, tingling, and burning. Fibromyalgia patients are often profoundly fatigued, and may also suffer from chronic sleeping problems.
Other symptoms that often accompany fibromyalgia include:

- Headaches (including migraines)
- Irritable bowel and bladder
- Impaired memory and concentration
- Mood disorders such as anxiety and depression
WE CAN HELP!
A study conducted in Quebec subjected fibromyalgia patients to 30 chiropractic treatments involving ischemic compression and spinal manipulation. After only 15 treatments, the patients reported significant improvements in their quality of sleep, their fatigue level, and pain intensity – improvements that lasted for weeks after the last chiropractic treatment.
Massage therapy has also been found to be effective in relieving some of the symptoms of fibromyalgia.
If you suffer from the debilitating symptoms of fibromyalgia or any one of the symptoms associated with it, we want to offer help and hope.

Take Care of Your Feet This Fall!
by Dr Jason Reynolds
The average person takes between a mere 1,000- 5,000 steps per day (less than one mile and at best 3 miles). This is important because our feet need to be used, utilizing the muscles and ligaments that contribute to the integrity of our feet. On the same token, if you are active and well exceed this average, it’s good to ensure that your foot structure and motion is not harming you.
Poor foot mechanics with dynamic sport related motions - running and also walking - can contribute to a number of lower extremity injuries and back pain. Muscles in the foot help stabilize the 2 arches of the foot and ensure proper foot motion.
In general there are 2 foot types with a large number of people falling in between the two:
- Flat Foot (Pes Planus ) - This population tends to over pronate (allows the inside of the foot to come into contact with the ground) this causes extreme rotation of the tibia (lower leg) putting abnormal stress on the ankle and the knee.
- High Arch (Pes Cavus) - This population tends to have a very rigid foot and ankle. This can cause callous formation on compensated weight bearing areas of the foot and abnormal motion at the knee.
- Neutral- This population is not necessarily predisposed to problems by structure, but inactivity and mobility compensations can contribute to problems.
A general rule for the foot and ankle is to have good mobility and range of motion, and strong and stable intrinsic muscles.
