Balance In Motion Your Path to Health > Nutritional Guidance

Whether you want to improve or maintain your current health status, the single most influential
thing you can do for yourself is to eat for health. Discovering and fueling your body with food
that truly works for your body is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

Putting food in your system that doesn't truly fuel your body is like throwing wet logs on a fire.
It will create imbalance in your biochemistry. Stoke up your body with food that really fuels and nourishes and your body will respond and reward your efforts. You will start feeling better, have
more energy and regenerate your body. Once you have been eating for health regularly for a
time, your digestive system will strengthen. Your body, mind and spirit will become energized and radiant.

We will ask you to fill out a short survey that will help us determine how your current eating
habits are affecting you. Based on the reults of this survey, we will make specific dietary recommendations that are custom-tailored to your individual needs.

In general, eating a wide variety of fresh, whole (unprocessed), foods has proven favorable
compared to monotonous diets based on processed foods. In particular, the consumption of
whole-plant foods slows digestion, allows better absorption, and a more favorable balance
of essential nutrients per calorie, resulting in better management of cell growth, maintenance,
and mitosis (cell division), as well as better regulation of appetite and blood sugar.

Regularly scheduled meals (every few hours) have also proven more beneficial than infrequent
or haphazard ones.

Rather than worry about following a fad diet, think about your health and your lifestyle instead.
Start by learning which foods are good for you.

Once you learn which foods are good for you, you need to look at your eating habits. If the foods
you eat are not healthy, you might want to work within your habits and current lifestyle
conditions, since they are usually tough to change. Consider these questions, then read on for
tips to help you add healthy foods:
